The Process The first thing you need to do is book your in-home wedding gown shopping appointment with us. These appointments are completely free of charge. We thank you for welcoming us into your home. Next, we will confirm your desired appointment time and date via telephone or email. We will then send you the link to our secured wedding gown gallery. Choose up to 15 of your favorites and hit “submit”. These are the gowns we will bring directly to you along with a few of our favorites we think you may like. We will reconfirm our appointment with you 24 hours before your scheduled time. On the day of your appointment, we will show up at your scheduled time to setup. Please notify us of any stairs or obstacles ahead of time. We will be bringing rolling racks for our dresses, mirrors, a pedestal for you to stand on (no shoes required), clips and clamps and everything else we need to give you the best wedding gown shopping experience possible. Appointments last up to 2 hours. Once you say “yes” to your dress, we will measure you, find your correct size, process your payment and order your dress right then and there. The Experience Aglow Bridal is sure you will find our mobile service to be the most convenient, relaxing and enjoyable form of dress shopping you will come across while finding your perfect wedding gown. In the comfort of your own home or a designated place of your choosing, you will experience the privacy and personalized attention that is lacking in a brick and mortar bridal store. Imagine not having to worry about other customers looking on as you try to maintain a little privacy while trying to view all your favorite gowns. No more worrying if the back is not quite closing or any unexpected undergarment exposures. You’ll only be with our Bridal Stylist and your chosen family and friends during your try-ons. You’ll be able to socialize with your bridal entourage and enjoy all the laughter and joyful tears that come with finding your perfect gown. Because in most cases your appointment takes place in a private residence, you can have that glass of wine to celebrate with those in attendance.
What Aglow Will Need Aglow will bring everything we need to facilitate the trying on of all your gown choices. This includes mirrors, a viewing pedestal, garment clips, floor covering protection for both your floors and the dresses, garment racks and a variety of veils and accessories to complete your ensemble. All we ask is that you clear an area of your home to enable the viewing of the gowns and a separate room (usually a small bedroom) to act as a private changing area for yourself and/or your bridesmaids if they will also be trying on gowns. The only other requirements that we have (no exceptions) are that all pets are confined to another room during the appointment, that family and friends refrain from smoking and that every effort be made to keep food and drinks away from the gowns while in the viewing and changing areas. We ask that only our Bridal Stylists assist the Bride getting in and out of the dresses to avoid damage.
Finding The Dress You are welcome to choose up to 15 gowns from our on-line collections to try on. We will also bring a few selections of our own if we see you are favoring a particular style. Don’t be afraid to try something suggested to you that you never would have picked yourself. You never know ….. it could be THE ONE! When you say “yes to the dress” we celebrate! Then we will measure you and order your correct size. Expect to wait a minimum of 5 – 6 months for your gown to arrive. Some designers do offer rush services, but there may be a fee. When your dress arrives, it will be professionally steamed and put in a breathable garment bag, ready for us to deliver to your home or make arrangements for you to pick up at one of our many pop-up locations, if that is more convenient.

Please note: if you do not receive a response via telephone or email from an Aglow Bridal staff member within 24 hours, please check your junk folder and/or give us a call at 250-571-2359. This appointment request does not guarantee your appointment. Due to scheduling of the three aspects of our business (weddings gowns, event decorating, photo booth rentals), we may have to adjust your requested time. We book at least one week to two weeks in advance. Please be aware that we will do our best to accommodate appointments booked sooner, but due to staff scheduling we may not be able to fulfill your desired appointment time.
Aglow Bridal is closed on all statutory holidays.
We are a mobile bridal boutique and do not have a store front.
If the calendar says “Appointments not accepted on this day” it is because we are fully booked, it’s a Holiday, or we are at an event (Pop up shop or Bridal Fair) Please view our Pop Up Shop page for a list of dates you can come see us!
What should I expect?
Our appointments last for approximately two hours, which is the perfect amount of time to try on all your favorite dresses without feeling rushed. Your Bridal Stylist will be there with you to help you into the gowns. We suggest wearing a good strapless bra if possible. It’s amazing what a difference good underwear makes to the fit of a dress, so don’t be afraid to have your Spanx with you either! We ask that you refrain from wearing excess make-up and self-tanner during the appointment.
What is the price range of your dresses?
Our regular lines of designer wedding gowns range from $1800 – $3,800 + tax. Our plus size line ranges in price from $950 – $1800 + tax. Many of our dresses are made right here in Canada with the highest quality materials and attention to detail. View our designers page to see each specific lines price range.
When do you suggest I order my wedding gown?
Most designers take 5-7 months to make your wedding gown, so once you factor in shipping time and alterations the process can take around 6 to 9 months. Don’t worry if your wedding date is sooner than this. Most designers offer a Rush Service. Whenever possible, we suggest ordering your wedding gown a minimum of six to nine months before your wedding date.
Do you carry plus size dresses?
Yes, we have a beautiful selection of plus size dresses from Callista.
Will alterations be required?
When ordering your wedding gown, we take all your measurements and order your dress as close to your current size as possible, but all bridal gowns need alterations to give it a perfect fit for your wedding day. We don’t offer in-house alterations as we think this is best left to the experts, but we will happily provide you with a list of highly experienced seamstresses in your area.
